ROVERDRIVE GEAR CORPORATION is a manufacturing company based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA.
In our dedicated facility, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, we manufacture the ROVERDRIVE Land Rover overdrive that is fitted to Land Rover vehicles.
We export our product to virtually every country where Land Rovers are driven.
Our Land rover overdrives are fitted to both Series and Defender models. The ROVERDRIVE adds an optional range of gear ratios to the Land Rover making it quieter and more economical to drive.
This Land Rover overdrive can be installed in less than two hours using simple hand tools. It can be used in any gear in both high and low range.
At highway speeds your Land Rover will lope along with engine revolutions reduced by 28%, saving fuel, reducing drive train wear and resulting in a much quieter more relaxed driving.
The ROVERDRIVE Land Rover overdrive is a rugged bit of equipment. It is designed in the tradition that makes Land Rover the workhorse of the 4 x 4 world. ROVERDRIVES have no unreliable electrical components. There are no friction clutches to slip. Oil is shared with the vehicle transfer case. Units are totally sealed with no dynamic seals or vents to leak. The lack of an oil sump makes the pressure die cast housing extremely compact. An Italian synchromesh assembly makes engagement smooth and precise. Internal components run on simple deep groove ball bearings and sealing components are Viton 'O' rings not paper gaskets.
Unlike other designs of Land Rover Overdrive, our gear arrangement is a quiet running epicyclical type based on a North American truck automatic transmission - fully capable of withstanding punishing service in a Land Rover.
